This page covers gettimerabbit.com and its beta form. What the TimeRabbit app itself does with your data is under “The app” below.

Who is responsible

Marcin Urbanski, trading as Brandwise, United Kingdom, who builds TimeRabbit. Write to hello@gettimerabbit.com with any question about your data.

The beta form

When you join the beta we keep:

We use them only for the beta: to send you news about it, to ask you a follow-up question about the tool you log time into, and to tell you when TimeRabbit works with that tool. Your answers also help decide which integration comes next; for that they are only counted, never published with your email.

We keep them because you asked to join (your consent, UK GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time: reply to any email from us or write to hello@gettimerabbit.com, and we delete your entry within 30 days. Otherwise we delete it 12 months after you last sent the form.

We don't sell or share your email. It is kept only by the companies that host this site, its database and our mailbox, and they handle it on our behalf, under contract.

Answers after a download

After you download TimeRabbit you can answer the same two questions without giving an email. Then we keep only your answers and the date, with nothing that identifies you (unless you type it yourself under “Which one?”). If you add your email, it is handled as described under “The beta form”.

Visiting the site

The site sets no cookies and shows no ads. We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which records the page, the referring site, the browser and the country, without cookies and without building a profile of you. Like every web server, Cloudflare sees your IP address to deliver the page. We do this on the basis of our legitimate interest in running the site and knowing whether it reaches people (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(f)).

Downloading the app

The download comes from GitHub (GitHub, Inc.), which sees your IP address when it serves the file. We count how many times the download link was clicked, not who clicked it, on the same legitimate interest.

Outside the UK

Cloudflare, GitHub and Sentry are US companies and may process data in the United States. They do so under the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum, in their data processing terms.

The app

TimeRabbit records what you work on (apps, window titles, documents, browser pages) in a database on your Mac. That record never leaves your Mac. There is no account and no TimeRabbit server. What does leave:

Your rights

You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict how we use it, or get a copy of it. You can object to processing based on our legitimate interest. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, tell us first at hello@gettimerabbit.com. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk), the UK data protection regulator.

Changes

If this page changes, the date at the top changes. If a change affects what we do with your email, we tell you by email first.
